The Outpost Presents: State of the Wild

The Outpost continues their speaker series with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. This presentation will take a closer look at our regional wildlife management areas, wildlife populations, and discuss ongoing work to manage our regional natural resources.
Have questions about what’s going on in the woods? This is a perfect place to ask those questions and get direct feedback from the folks in the field collecting the data and doing the hand work to care for the wetlands.
This program is free. Doors open at 5:30pm. -

National Geographic Photographer Stephen Alvarez: Ancient Cave Art
Sunday, October 25th at 3:00 PM
Alvarez is a photographer and filmmaker who has spent years documenting caves and ancient rock art sites around the world. In this presentation he will explore the topic, which corresponds with the release of his new book, “Rock Art: An American Story, co-written with Tlingit editor Kate Nelson.

The Mars Theater is a public theater intended to host public events that drive traffic to Downtown LaFayette. Priority booking will always go to public events. The theater may be rented for private events Monday through Thursday.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rentals may be booked only within three weeks of the event date, if the date is still available. Private event rentals are $175.

The Mars Theater hosts live plays, cinema, comedy shows, live music, and more. As a community event venue, we are open a wide-variety of entertainment options for all ages.

We are currently piloting several pricing models, to include a percentage of net ticket sales, to having performers rent the facility.

Entertainers work with Mars Theater either through a flat-rate facility rental or a ticket revenue split. Either way, only the Mars Theater's share counts as profit — and every dollar of that goes right back into keeping the theater running. So every ticket you buy helps keep the Mars alive and thriving.
